Dolina runs her Bed and Breakfast at Reflections 4 Fernilea Carbost on the scenic Island of Skye.
She extends a very warm and friendly welcome to all her guests in comfortable and delightful surroundings.
Reflections, No.4. Fernilea, was built in 1924 by Dolina’s grandfather John Ferguson, a stonemason, following the families settlement to Skye in 1921 from the island of Scalpay, Harris in the Western Islands. Dolina’s Great Grandparents came too.
The Ferguson family were one of sixty-nine families who moved from the islands of Harris and Lewis to settle in Fernilea and Portnalong in search of land to build homes and bring up their families.
Their livelihood was derived mainly from crofting, fishing and a tweed making industry called the Port-Na-Skye Tweeds.
The house is situated on croft land overlooking Loch Harport.
Enjoy breakfast in our conservatory and a peaceful stay.
